After 15 years of working in the field, she is still as passionate about helping/supporting others along their life journey and more specifically with helping individuals break the cycle of violence. Throughout the different roles Sophie had in her career, she had the privilege to help youths, individuals, couples and families dealing with : intimate partner violence, the impact of trauma/abuse & neglect, crisis situations, substance use, grief/loss, compassion fatigue/burnout, etc. She also supported individuals who wanted to create healthier relationships with themselves and others by re-building their self-esteem, increasing self-awareness and learning effective ways to communicate and to manage their emotions (i.e. Anger, Anxiety, Depression, etc). Sophie knows how ‘’reaching out’’ is often the hardest, yet most important step to take for ourselves and she looks forward to helping you determine what the next step will be to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Sophie is described as having a kind, supportive and non-judgmental approach. She is a great listener, easy to talk too and comes with a great sense of humor! Sophie is certified in Choice Theory and has acquired & continues to fuel her passion by learning new skills to add to her helper’s toolbox.
